Nariyal Purnima marks the beginning of the fishing season. Along Mumbai's coastline, watch fishermen worship and offer coconuts to the God of the sea, Lord Varuna. A fragrant bowl of coconut rice is the dish of the day.
Garlands of flowers are also thrown into the water as an act of worship and beautiful brightly coloured boats go out to sea carrying lit oil lamps...
