The Al Wathba Camel Track is famous for its fast and furious racing, but bird watchers also flock here from all over the world in the hope of sighting some of the region's rarest birds. The area around the race track is well irrigated grassland, atractive to elusive local avians such as the red-billed tropicbird, the masked booby and the lappet-faced vulture.
